Dcypha Films, the production company behind the recent Sway hit 'F ur X' are now casting for a lead female role in the club banger 'Devil in a Blue Dress' by Donaeo. The funky house track, already a smash in the clubs is about to become the essential soundtrack to the summer.
The promo for this one involves a big female lead - the Devil in the blue dress. Applicants need to be able to express great confidence and cheeky charm. The basic premise of the storyline involves our stunning Devil lady causing a stir in the club with some naughty devilish antics. She's the one everybody wants - but who nobody can get. This is not a 'dancing behind the rapper' type of role, nor something which relies on beauty alone.
Applicants will need to carry the promo with a strong delivery and convey a sense of energy, charm and wickedness in their performance. We're ideally looking for a fresh new face, someone who hasn't featured heavily in lots of music promos before.
Performance involves a series of set pieces as Ms Devil interacts with the various people in the club. In addition, there is a direct-to-camera solo piece which will involve the use of rain sticks. Shot on 16mm, this will be a high-end production with a friendly, experienced and reliable team who's last 5 productions have all made mainstream play list with MTV Base.
Applicants shortlisted will be asked to attend a brief (10 min) interview on Thursday 3rd July, taking place between 7-9pm at Stanza, London W1.
Synopsis
------------
Night in London, city lights shining, we’re at the entrance of the club.
From behind we see a shot of a beautiful, curvy woman slipping out of her fur overcoat, she drops it to the floor, underneath she’s wearing a figure-hugging vibrant blue dress.
She strides down the hall with confidence and we see the reactions from the staff, the guys, the ladies as she passes – everyone in awe of her style and beauty. She makes her way to the bar, the crowd parts to allow her to cut through, she motions to the barman and he passes her a drink.
She looks across the bar to a handsome guy, he smiles. She drops her chin slightly, looks him hard in the eyes and beckons him with her finger. He comes over, she pulls him close and whispers in his ear. She looks him in the eye once more, smiles, then turns on her heal and walks off into the crowd....
