TurnStyle are a semi-pro 5 piece, very experienced covers function band seeking a new lead guitarist
TurnStyle are a semi-pro 5 piece, very experienced, covers function band; originally formed over 8 years ago (Keyboards, lead guitar, bass and drums backing a female vocalist).
We are now urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated lead guitarist, who in turn is looking for very regular part time weekly work.
Venues are mainly the private member clubs, dinner dances, weddings, holiday camps etc. We usually have a busy confirmed booking list every year and we are normally out performing almost every Saturday evening, with the occasional weekday booking.
We are based in Kent and most of our bookings are located in the London and South East England areas, most come through the 3 agents we are registered with. 50% of the available Saturdays in 2008 are now already booked and we would expect this to increase as we move through the year, we normally end up with 40 to 50 bookings each year.
You should have your own transport, be easy going, fun loving and able to slot in easily. Most of the play list is well known covers from Rock n Roll, 60's through the 70's 80's & 90's, Disco/Funk etc. etc. to more current chart hits.
The position is urgent as we need our new guitarist rehearsed and ready to be up and running as soon as possible. As we have a list of confirmed booking to fulfill. So we will be holding initial auditions in Maidstone as soon as possible.
