Vocaltutor require 30 performances, i.e. 30 songs, routines and solo/duo/trio performances (18+)
I am pleased to be able to announce the date and venue of the next Vocaltutor showcase - Disco Inferno, 7th September 2008, St Helen's Theatre Royal and Opera House, St Helen's.

As you may know, the reason Vocaltutor produces showcases is to give all Vocaltutor students and associates the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. You can only learn so much in a classroom environment with your tutor, but where the real learning begins is on stage. The success of the show depends on the support of its tutors, and your participation. This show as you may have guessed is Disco Hits from the 70's! So don't forget your flares.
Getting involved:

Vocaltutor require 30 performances, i.e. 30 songs/routines - solo/duo/trio performances and dance schools/amateur dramatics/theatre schools group routines. Due to the amount of interest, we have had to put time limits on the performances. Individuals/duos/trios have 4 minutes on stage and groups (over 4 people) have 6 minutes on stage.
The event is open to Vocaltutor students, friends of Vocaltutor and dance/theatre schools. In preparation for the event all singers will have the opportunity of working with their Vocaltutor, or booking time with a tutor if required. Vocaltutor will keep you updated about who is performing which songs, draft running orders etc. It is important Vocaltutor have your full contact details, including an e-mail address urgently, if you wish to take part. It is essential Vocaltutor is informed of your chosen songs as soon as they are decided and no later than 1st August 2008.
There are so many songs singers can perform and it is entirely up to you what songs you choose, bearing in mind, we don't want two performances of the same song. Song choices will be on a first come first served basis, so choose your songs quickly to avoid disappointment.
Call times:

Venue access is at 2pm. Rehearsal for groups 3pm-5pm. Solos/Duets and trios, unfortunately will not get a rehearsal but will have time to get used to the performance area. The show will be at 7:30 pm. You will be responsible for your own costume, hair and makeup. There will be dressing rooms available, but no quick change area. The dress code for this show is 70's clothing. It should reflect the song your are performing.
