I'm Adam Duffill, I'm 23 and I am a Rock Singer/Songwriter from Southend, England. I live, breathe and sleep music and nothing makes me happier than creating it and sharing it! Since leaving University, I've had a great journey working hard to craft my art and establish myself both locally and nationally.
Whilst 2012 was a fantastic year of progression in my career, I have much planned in 2013 that I'm very excited about. I will be releasing my debut album consisting entirely of songs I've written called 'Torch To Light The Universe' which will be available via both Amazon and ITunes, I'll also be releasing a music video for the lead single, as well as launching my website www.adamduffill.com to coincide with the release. I am also releasing a series of professionally recorded live and studio performances of both my songs and cover songs that have influenced me broadcast via my YouTube channel in HD.
I've previously performed all over the UK promoting my own songs, most prominently in Essex and London - the latter has included some memorable moments of my career so far. I've played at several of the most popular London music venues as noted in my achievements list shown above, most notably O2 Academy2 in Islington and Monto Water Rats in Kings Cross, which has previously hosted gigs by Oasis, Katy Perry and Feeder. In May I played at the Portobello Acoustic Sessions which is one of the venues Ellie Goulding played shortly before being signed.
Several of these venues noted they enjoyed my energy, enthusiasm, professionalism of my performances, and ability to generate a great atmosphere within the venue, and have offered
me the chance to return in 2013.
One of my most enjoyable performances in the capital was at the largest venue I have performed to date, as I was asked to perform onstage at the London ExCel as part of International Confex 2012 - performing on three consecutive days starting with the IOEX VIP party, followed by a two day stint at the International Confex which had thousands of people and businesses present.
Following this event, I was also asked to perform at Chelsea FC's Player Of The Year awards, and I was delighted to hear that the club actually promoted my music further by displaying a photo and bio of me on the clubs official website/programme.
My performances at these high profile events has seen me branch out and play several corporate functions, weddings, private parties, restaurants and I also have previous experience of performing at other events such as at village fetes, restaurants, shopping plazas, social clubs, hotels, race tracks, schools, colleges.
Within Essex I have been fortunate to perform at all of the Southend music venues as well as several festivals that take place in Essex, but perhaps my most memorable local performances to date performing at Southend United’s Roots Hall Stadium. I performed in front of 10,000 people prior to a match, and was asked back for a second time later that season, performing to a 6,500 crowd.
I also went on to play at both Southend Christmas Lights and Basildon Christmas Lights on the same day - performing to a 4,000 stong crowd in Southend and 1,000 in Basildon. The reception I received from the crowd at both events was amazing, and I'll always be grateful for it. I was since asked back to perform again in 2012.
Since then, I feel fortunate to have performed at some of the other large venues in Essex such as the Southend Palace Theatre, Basildon Towngate Theatre, Chinnerys, The Circus Tavern and Maxims Casino as well as winning several local music competitions for both my songwriting and performance, and gaining many new fans in the process.
These performances across Essex and London, combined with my competition successes that led to me receiving a great opportunity, as I was asked to perform for a second time at Southend's Palace Theatre with TOWIE Star James 'Arg' Argent performing songs from my forthcoming album.
