Adam Hayes is a young experienced jazz, soul, pop rock and RnB drummer, schooled in jazz and soul and using this extensive knowledge to play everything from ferocious gospel fuelled beats to delicate jazz. Always playing for the song, Adam is known for doing exactly what is required to take a track to the next level without clogging it up with chops and fills. He has an intensity lacking from most modern players, and brings human feel to digital music.

His first recording was with 80s superstars Katrina and the Waves playing a remake of their hit 'Love Shine A Light'. They were astonished at such mature, sensitive but powerful playing playing from a 15 year old boy and introduced him to producers from studios across the land. Adam has worked solidly since then, honing his skills and creating his own personal stamp to bring to tracks both live and in the studio.

A significant gig was playing a record label showcase with the Ada band project at the age of 16. Adam performed a 4 song set 8 times in the same day to record labels from Sony to Island and everything inbetween. A master of working with a click, or using his own internal metronome, Adam lifts any track to a whole new level.

Adam has played drum loops with Graham Silbiger, heavy funk with 'Dr. Thompson and the Soul Rockers' and incredible RnB with Kyan Kuatois. Live work includes performing Pete Brown's classic rock songs, jazz at venues from Ronnie Scotts to the legendary Troy Bar. He has played for underground hip hop and RnB artists to old school soul jams. He is getting known in town for both heavy, pounding hip hop rhythms and delicate jazz and soul.

Currently performing live hip hop with Mercury award nominated artist Kofi Stacks, including appearances in music videos and drumming on his imminently released EP, preparing for a European tour with brilliant singer songwriter Beatie Wolfe and gigging with his own band, Citizen. To top it all off, Adam is preparing for worldwide gigs with 80s pop superstars Johnny Hates Jazz.
