Key points:

Be proactive and get involved in student films. Casting Directors watch these films to find new talent.
Make sure you have a recent headshot and if you change your look get a new one!
Going away? Inform your agent so they don't submit you for an audition you can't attend.
Try and practice what you do everyday.
Keep training and gaining more experience. Casting Directors look to see who is taking courses and up-skilling.
Know your lines and be confident and friendly when you attend an audition. Don't be arrogant or doubt yourself. You have been chosen to attend that audition for a reason so believe in yourself.
Choose an agent that you like, it's important to have a good relationship with your agent.
