Ashley Jane

British Columbia, Canada

Actor

Coming from a small coastal town, the dream of working in the film industry seemed out of reach for Ashley Jane, but a move to the big city shortly after leaving high school opened up a whole new world of opportunities. Ashley began actor training shortly after moving to Sydney, Australia and has continued training throughout the years. Her first lead theatre role came in the form of an innocent young woman framed for armed robbery in Women Behind Bars. This experience was the epitome of being ‘thrown in the deep end’ but Ashley embraced the character and received positive reviews for her performance. After meeting her partner Andrew (writer/director) and his network of filmmakers in 2007, Ashley turned her attention to screen acting. Ashley takes great interest in each project as a whole and has been praised for her focused yet natural performances. Most recently, Ashley had a supporting role in a government-supported short film highlighting homelessness in the Western Sydney area.
