I am a young, 18 year old vivacious performer, my name is Laura although i sometimes go by my stage name -Aurora Demar, i am passionate about performing and looking to pursue a career as a recording artisit or for acting on stage, on screen or within musical theatre. I already have a vast amount of life experience, which includes travelling a lot, working abroad and locally, performing in a range of different styles within all kinds of venues. I worked on the Mediterranean as both a tribute act, and entertainer, straight singer and musician. I also performed at weddings and other ceremonies. I was scouted in the middle east by the notorious DJ Duo Rich Bitch and performed in the exclusive Bahrain club 'Taboo.' I am experienced in working in clubs as a dancer and singer. i have trained predominantly in musical theatre to a professional level in dance, acting and music and have built myself a vast repetoire over the years, particularly for theatre.

i am a very outgoing, social and friendly persn with a passion for performing and the arts in general. i have dedicated my life and career so far to simply doing what i love doing, of which acting is a huge part of. I have particiapated in musical theatre courses at GSA, with a diploma, i have also been in theatre companies - Nasu Enzuru, Girton players, The Academy and toured with my college previously. Some of my major roles have included Velma from Chicago, Viola from Twelfth night, Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing, Blanche Dubois from A Streetcar named Desire, as well as Riz from Greese. A lot of my training has been based around musical theatre but i have also done a lot of straight acting for Shakespearean texts aswell as having a lot of experience in postmodernism and classical texts such as Antigone and Elektra. i have just finished filming for a music video right now. I have a vast amount of experience in public speaking, from working as a performer and entertainer, also having given the county memorial speech. I have a lot of acting experience with performances at several theatres around the country, after having so much experience on stage i am really looking to branch into screen/TV now.

I have a musical theatre diploma from GSA, grade 8 vocals, grade 7 piano and grade7 flute. I have a lot of experience in performing within musicals and at concerts, including choirs and bands. 2 years ago i performed Mozart's Requiem at Kings College Chapel, which was an enthralling experience. But contrasting to this i have just completeted filming and recording a power pop song called Countdown which is attending a song writers convention in Los Angeles next month.
i have an A level in music and an A level in performance studies at A grades. i have a lot of performing experience at local events, pubs and bars, concert halls, churches, street performing and in the past year been hired and worked as a professional musician for events. i have a large repetoire of material for all of my instruments with vocal covers ranging from the 60's to chart music of 2010.

My dance experience is mainly contemporary, having studied ballet and modern dance to a high standard. i have generally used my dance experience within shows, within theatre, the strong demands of musical theatre require an actor to be highly skilled within all 3 disciplines of drama, music and dance. i am fast at learning routines and have performed within several dance shows.

Some of my work is presented on deviant art under - Auroraphotography - my shoots tend to be based on impressionistic approaches but i have participated in shoots for portfolios and profiles, with access to studio space.

Magazine

I have written articles recreationally and for a small distribution paper 'the phoenix.' i think i could be a valuable candidate for this role because i have a youthful and articulate insight with huge interest in the arts, in culture and in fine living. My original writing titled - 'the secret life of a Cambridge school girl,' explores true events and adventures i encountered at a very early age, attracted to the glamour and excitement that London encompasses. i could give a fresh and unique perspective on many of the aspects you list, i have dated very expensively in the most exclusive venues...and very shabbily. i have a lot of experiences to write about, expansive knowledge regarding musical theatre especially, art and good dining. hope to hear back from you, thanks, Laura
