Heralding from a musical family in Bristol, England, Richard O'Brien has began to emerge as a rising star in the South West corners of the United Kingdom. Aside from being an active member in a number of bands/projects such as Mango Factory, Murrumbidgee, Skuse, Inextremis, The Trish Brown band and The Warpspeed Orchestra, his latest solo project, self-titled, The Richard O'Brien Project fuses together styles of Jazz, Funk and Soul into a melting pot of musical sound. Drawing influences from greats such as Miles Davis, The Dave Matthews Band, Dave Weckl, Poogie Bell and many of the modern day bass virtuoso's such as Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller and Adam Nitti his debut album, Frisky, is one to watch out for.
