Joymask is a 6-piece funk band that performs brass-heavy grooves to people in hats. It is a collective of musicians from Brighton, London and darker, more mysterious places (Hampshire). The band has just digitally released 'Hooligan', an album that gestures frantically at Tower of Power and Steely Dan, thrusts occasionally at The Meters, and winks inappropriately at more modern elements like Mr Scruff and various hip hop.
