I won my first modeling competition at age 1 and I have done print and fitting work in London,England as well as New York. Four years ago i was invited by British designer Scott Henshall to walk in his show during London fashion week. I was the shortest person to ever walk the runway!

Acting experience

At 12yrs old i was accepted to 'The Sylvia Young Theatre School'. I did small parts on television shows/commercials. At 18yrs old having attained good grades, i moved into Central London and attended the 'Webber Douglas Academy' and 'RADA'. As a member of The City Literary Company i did several musical shows.
I worked on various television/film sets and well as in the west-end on 'Bombay Dreams' and 'Mama Mia'. I worked at the BBC every week on a popular live music show called 'Top of the Pops'. I was used several times on camera with the presenter. As a result i was invited to walk in London Fashion Week for UK designer Scott Henshall. It was quite special because I am only 5'3"!
Music manager Garry Wilson offered me the job of singing as an opening act for UK pop group 'Liberty X' abroad. We spent two weeks abroad where we sang open air concerts in beautiful locations to over 6000 people. I did newspaper/radio interviews and realized that i was being pulled away from what i really wanted which was acting.
I packed my life up into 6 suitcases and crossed the ocean to study in New York at 'The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute' doing the two year program. I especially enjoyed working with Paul Calderon, George Loros and Robert Castle. I did numerous plays and after graduating i began working. First a short film entered into a contest on the Chiller tv network- it came third. I then started doing tv work with an agency and was on set with great actors on shows like 'Damages', 'Law and order', 'Cupid' and do two Verizon commercials.
I later won a role in off-broadway show 'What we did to Weinstein' at The Theater of American Actor's. The play sold out and the cast were eventually invited to do several interviews for the Israeli news and a few newspapers due to the political nature of the play and the cast members. Next i was cast in a play called 'Blood' at LA Tea Theater. The play was well received.
On completing this i was flown to Cairo, Egypt where i shot a commercial for Mobinil. In the uk i had the pleasure of a meeting with John Woodward (head of the UK film council) and Tanya Segachian ( the lady responsible for the creation of the Harry Potter franchise). I have since taken meetings with a few uk casting directors such as Leo Davis and Karen Lyndsey- Stewart.
I had the chance to meet director/actor/producer Fisher Stevens while he was a partner at Greenestreet Films in NYC two years ago. This year he called me in to read in front of the team at The Culture Project for a part in a show he was directing for them at The Times Centre building in New York. I was cast the same day and began rehearsing. The show was based on a factual book by Pulitzer prize winner Ron Suskind . He was involved in the process as we were required to do research on our characters who are real people. The cast comprised of narrator Rachel Maddow and 7 actors - Liev Screiber, Julianna Margulies, John Leguizamo, Noah Emmerich, Ramsay Faragallah, Manu Narayan and myself.

After doing the show at The Times Centre i received wonderful feedback from industry professionals including the director of 'Capote' Bennett Miller. Fisher Stevens has since offered me a part in a feature film he is directing 'The Highest Tide'. Filming is due to begin next year. I was invited to audition for a NY Theatre company by Fay Simpson (Lucid Body Technique). I was offered a place as a company member and have since been training every week with them. I have been working with actor Gabriel Byrne. I am also training with Dan Fauci (Actors Studio).

This Summer I had a supporting role in independent feature film 'Paramor'. I was chosen by the writer and director who had seen my work the previously. The film is about to be sent around the festival circuit.

I look forward to hopefully meeting with you, in the near future.

Sincerely,

Clara
