Desmond Child – Special Guest Judge
For nearly three decades, songwriter/producer Desmond Child has reigned as one of music’s most successful creative forces. His list of accolades includes Grammy awards, 70 Top 40 singles, and songs that have sold over 300 million albums worldwide.
Child’s career showcases a stunning array of diversity. His collaborations run the gamut: from Bon Jovi & Aerosmith to Ricky Martin, from KISS to Kelly Clarkson, and from Cher to Alice Cooper. "Desmond’s a chameleon," Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler told Rolling Stone. "The first time we met, we wrote ’Angel’ in about an hour and 45 minutes. The guy’s a ******* genius."
Steven Memel
Steven Memel is an internationally recognised vocal technique and performance coach, as well as an award-winning actor and director.
He has worked with some of the most talented people in the entertainment world, including Maroon 5, Sara Bareilles, Jesse McCartney, actors Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Isabella Rossellini, and many others. He has taught at Musicians Institute, UCLA, and USC, and is a regular speaker at seminars, conferences, and universities around the world.
Currently, Steven can be seen doing his remarkable transformational work on MTV’s ‘Made’, where he was charged with turning a fledgling artist into a star in just a few weeks.

Michael Laskow is one of the most well-connected people in the music industry. As President and CEO of TAXI (an independent A&R company), Michael regularly works with major labels, top independent labels, high-profile advertising agencies, and Hollywood's top film and TV music supervisors.
During his career, Michael has worked with music legends Neil Young, Firefall, Melanie, Cheap Trick, Eric Clapton, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Lilly Dawson
Lilly Dawson is the founder and director of Hollywood Immersive, the exclusive entertainment programme. During 12 years as a casting director in Australia, Lilly saw countless actors head to Los Angeles with little knowledge of the notoriously difficult entertainment industry. She sought to create a platform to train, connect, and inspire performers - and Hollywood Immersive was born.
After focusing solely on actors for the first two years, Lilly has now expanded the successful model to include singers and hosts.
Jessica Manins
Jessica Manins manages StarNow’s international Markets team. She knows the industry well, having worked as an actress for over 10 years.
As one of the original StarNow staff members, Jessica has judged numerous talent contests around the world and has a knack for picking the next big stars. She is passionate about music, and recently produced an APRA-nominated music video and song.
