Curtis plays keyboards, percussion, bass, guitar, drums, sings, engineers and produces. One day at age 7, Curt was heard picking out "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" on a garage piano, a song he sang in school every morning with his class. His parents bought a console piano and started private lessons for him at age 8. Curtis entered state judging events, achieving 1 ratings. In 6th grade, Curtis scored the school play. He played drums in the school concert, pep and marching bands. In 8th grade, he formed his own band, "CB and the Citizens Band" which hosted his class's graduation party. At age 13, Curtis had memorized Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Strauss, Chopin and many others. He said he drew the line at Rachmaninoff and began studying jazz. In his freshman year, Curtis won the school talent show performing an original composition on the piano. He also played in the Marshall High School Concert, Pep, Jazz, and Marching bands, alternating drums, percussion and keyboards all four years. He also was a championship debater for his four years of high school. He began playing and singing solo in a local Best Western nightclub in his freshman year, with 7 keyboards. Because he was a minor, his father would accompany him. Curtis also formed his own rock cover band "Wired" and performed at a local Vegas style showcase called "The Countryside Palace". When a new song would play on the radio, Curtis would learn it "by ear", and teach the band members, singing the songs the following weekend to up to 250 people at Marshall Junction Missouri. After graduating high school, Curtis performed at churches from all denominations, usually singing and playing songs he would write specifically for each church. In 1992 at 30 years of age, Curtis earned a two year Associates Degree in Engineering from Full Sail University in one year. He recorded sessions of his original music to be remixed by the classes. After graduating Full Sail, Curtis moved to Nashville, Tennessee, knowing only a classmate. Curtis created piano tracks and recorded on albums for "Levi Jackson and the Stoney Creek Ramblers" at Khemico Productions in Nashville, and with "Honey Miller" of Cocoa Beach, Florida. In 2012, Curtis performed throughout Brevard County, Florida. Curtis also hosted an open-mic night in Cape Canaveral, Florida. For over a decade, Curtis also worked in Live Sound Reinforcement.
