Use good spelling and grammar - Use a spell checking program to make sure your profile is typo-free, and save the txt speak for your phone.
Update your profile regularly - Keep your accomplishments up to date and your information fresh and relevant.
Make it relevant - Choose the type of opportunities you're looking for and then build your profile to suit. Choose professional photos that show you in your best light and are appropriate for the roles you're applying for.
Fill in your statistics - Especially important for models and actors, make sure that you have completed the 'physical details' section of your profile. This information is absolutely necessary for casting directors and your much more likely to get a response if you've provided this information.
