HUGHIE GLYNN: Barnstorm Theatre Company, Kilkenny 2008-2011; G.B. Shaw Theatre, Carlow 2010; over 10 t.v. productions incl. series, commericals, movies, such as Raw; Love/Hate; Three Wise Woman where I had a 1minute dialogue/singing part.
I have completed three courses at Filmbase in Acting, Screenplay production, and Shorts production, aswell as writing and producing two shorts of my own for the experience. I've done a semi-nude theatre performance in 2010 when I performed in Cocaine in Kilkenny, and if you check out my website www.setdesignandprops.com you will see a still taken from the showreel, and www.caricaturesireland.com. It was a very edgy and difficult character to tap into, and I loved that as an actor. I have also written some short scripts and filmed two, both for the experience and to help some colleagues produce a showreel. These were both black comedy scripts as such on our political society and the media industry, and they were really an oppertunity for direct experience between the chosen topics and the public in general. I am currently the mc for The Open Mic Sessions in Dublin, where I also perform as a comedian/spoken word actor/singer.nII am'III
