X factor 2012-Bootcamp. where he made it through to the last 12 boys and wowed the judges and audience with his rendition of Cannonball by Damien Rice. he's widely credited as the reason that this song was picked as the “Winners Single” and subsequently went to #1 in the UK Singles Chart; his performance also launched Rice’s version to #9, making chart history as the first time a song has re-entered at a higher position than it’s original release.
