From a young age, Jonathan developed a keen interest in performance and this manifested in him commencing acting tuition at the age of eight. At the age of 20, Jonathan was focused on training and teaching acting to children until he met his partner, Vincent Cornelisse. Cornelisse, a Doctor, had a mandatory placement in rural Australia. Jonathan transitioned to the role of filmmaker in order to support his partner in this Journey. The Doctor's Wife was Jonathan's first feature Documentary. Jonathan’s film has enjoyed success both domestically and internationally. Jonathan was awarded “Excellence in Film” from the 2012 Canada International Film Festival. In early 2012 when “Guest House Films LLC” a leading US Gay and Lesbian production company and distributor, bought the international rights to “The Doctor’s Wife.”
