I am Leon, an ambitious 26 year-old Vocalist living in South-East London. After finishing college, I started studying vocals in a private school of Jazz and Popular Music in Frankfurt called „Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt“. When my father moved to England in 2009, I started to study in London and I am very happy about it. My idols are, first of all, Mario Lanza, with his great voice and unmistakeably powerful and at the same time romantic singing. My favourite Band is Muse. Other Artists I admire are i.e. Keane, Shirley Bassey, The Platters, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Marvin Gaye, Tom Jones and the band UFO. I believe in my voice and have a broad range. I like to sing Rock songs as well as the most beautiful Ballads & Evergreens of the past 60 years. I am also ambitiously singing titles from the genres of Musical, Opera, Gospel, Jazz and Soul. My dream has always been to get the opportunity to prove my talent in a metropolis of music such as London. leonbrumen@googlemail.com

I studied for two years at a private college for Jazz Music in Frankfurt, Germany, the FMW (Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt) before moving to another city. During the Soccer World Cup 2006 in Kaiserslautern, I took part in the artistic dinner show „Salto Culinare“ as singer. In may of that year I appeared singing on Slovenian National Television, in July and August I took part in the renowned Slavic International Song Contest 'Slavianski Bazar' in Misk and Witebsk, Belarus representing Germany. In the Winter of 2007 I recorded his first Single, 'In jedem Ende', and in mid 2008, a second one called 'Tanzen will ich'. Both songs have been extensively aired on WDR4, SWR4, SR3 and Radio Melody.

Dancing

Dancing ability:
  Beginner
Dance styles

  • Contemporary
I attended Ballroom Dance School before and during my A-Levels in Germany, where I did the Beginner's, Advanced, Bronze, Silver & Gold Courses. I also attended a course for Tango for half a year during that time.
This reference is meant to merely convey that I do have an ability to move and dance elegantly and swiftly, not that I could memorize the steps of all those Dances (esp. the more complicated ones and parts) from that far back without regular practice. However, I am sure I would be quick to relearn.
