Modeling

Modeling experience:Beginner, starting out
I first recognised my interest and talent in modelling when I took part in a charity fashion show for the University of Plymouth fashion graduates in 2009. The whole experience was very demanding, tiring and so much fun. The outfits and shoes were very abstract and eccentric, which added to the overall experience. It was held in the Plymouth Pavilion and there were over 2000 people in the audience. I had two outfits to wear on the catwalk, and my costume change was limited to about 10 seconds. For a first time catwalk model, this experience as a whole gave me such a blast of inspiration and excitement and left me wanting more. That same year, a photography student called Paul Person asked me to model for him as part of his portfolio. This was my first experience in photo shoot modelling. This gave me a taste of what would be expected of me in the professional industry, I felt that my personal performance in this shoot was good and the finished photographs showed me my image potential in modelling.
In 2011 I won a competition to have a free photo shoot at Pierre Lemond Studios London. This experience showed me how much I have a passion for modelling. The photographer gave me lots of opportunity to experiment with poses and stances and I felt that I had a naturel ability to use my environment to my advantage as well as the advantage of the image. I found that my talent in acting helped me a great deal in this shoot.

I have just finished studying for my FDA degree in Actor Training for Theatre and Media Performance at Plymouth University graduating with a 2:1. I have been passionate about acting and performing since an early age and I have performed in many musicals and plays, in educational productions as well as with a theatre company. When I was 17 I was given the opportunity to go and do a film acting course at Idyllwild Arts Academy in California. I learnt so much from this experience, and it taught me the major difference between stage acting and camera acting. I have done an educational film with a company called ‘Better Parenting’ and I’ve been involved in short films made by media students. Although my acting work to date has all been unpaid, I have approached each job with excitement and the drive to make it a professional production. I am very keen and excited about starting to take my acting to the next level and make it my profession. I am hoping to get involved in as many different projects as possible to build my confidence and experiences.
I have just received results from my LAMDA grade 7 exam and I have got a Distinction, also, for my FMP in my foundation degree we performed a play called 'The Five Wives of Maurice Pinder' and I played a character called Esther, for this performance I got a 1st. I haven't yet got a showreel, however, I am currently working alot with Masters students and I have added the short films onto my profile.

I have been singing since and very young age and I also play the piano. I started to build my confidence with performance and combining my two skills when I was in secondary school and my passion grew bigger and bigger. I formed bands and performed in as many concerts, cabarets as possible. When I left secondary I got involved in a Jazz and Blues band and sang at a charity concert, unfortunately because I had to leave Plymouth to attend university, however I still perform with the band whenever I am available to. Singing is my one true passion, performing brings me so much delight and I hope to get involved in as many projects, concerts, bands and recordings as possible to build my confidence and so I can learn more about my own ability and the profession. I have most recently be a musical director as a part of 'Silhouette Productions' in their performances of 'Murder Weekend' and 'The Five Wives of Maurice Pinder'

Film & Stage Crew

I worked for the theatre company 'Fade to Black' as a seemstress and costume designer on their productions of 'Blithe Spirit' and 'Two Lips Different Red'. I really enjoyed the experience I have used the skills I learnt to help towards my degree and my own theatre company.
I have got experience on being a costume manager in a theatre company called Sillhouette Productions, I designed costumes for the performance of 'The Five Wives of Maurice Pinder'. From this production I was also a manager of two assistants which added so much more responsibilty to the role, I believe I managed them well and the costume design side of the performance was an absolute success.

Magazine

I have recently had a shoot with Yarnwise magazine. I will be appearing on the front cover. Although this type of magazine isn't what I intended to work with, I enjoyed the experienced and embraced the fact that it was a good experience and I learnted alot from it. Working with Yarnwise magazine has also made me realise that I have a try passion and love for modelling, and I hope to work with a wider range of companys and magazines in the near further.
