One thing I absolutely love when it comes to Comedy, as well as Voice Acting is Improv. It might not be as inventive as live-action Improv, but it's still entertaining to watch and listen to, and it takes a witty, concentrated individual to pull it off.
There aren't any major prerequisites for this Audition, but you must have
Skype. Each sketch will take place on a weekly basis for a period of
4-weeks. Beyond that, we will assess the amount of YouTube Viewers, the
quality of our Actors, and then whether or not everyone wishes to proceed.
We're also in talks with a third-party Animator, unaffiliated with StarNow
to provide 2D sketches and interactive backdrops, which means when the
Improv session is done, it will be sent to the Animator who will make a
visual work of art. Sort of like what they did on Drew Carey's Green Screen
(without the Green Screen or live-action Actors.) This isn't a sure thing at
the moment, but it's a likely scenario.
Because this is Improv, Auditions will be held live on Skype. If you wish to
attend the Audition, please submit a General 'Comedy' Demo Reel which shows
of your talents. We will contact you. Your General Demo Reel will be
listened to, but no Feedback will be submitted.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 1pm - 3:30pm, then again on
Sunday, May 5th, from 1pm - 3:30pm. A maximum of 25 performers will be
allowed in the Skype session, so bring your A-Game. If we have an
overwhelming load of interest, we might make some exceptions. Six Actors
will be selected after this process to be part of this production.
In terms of profit, initially, everything will be unpaid, but over time, as
viewership increases, we will be monetizing each upload to YouTube. If and
when that starts to reap a profit, it will be shared amongst everyone
involved. At the present time, this is to be considered Non-Profit.
Performers will NOT be asked for any financial information or investments.
However, as this project is experimental, I cannot assure anyone a paid
outcome. I can only assure that it will be a lot of fun.
If you have received a private invitation to this project, but do not have
an interest in it, either because of time constraints or lack of profit,
simply ignore this request and proceed on with your business.
