Capable of reading music and keen to play in a large ensemble?
Orkeztra Glasso Bashalde is an inclusive, community orchestra based in Northcote, Melbourne. [Glasso means Gypsy melodies, Bashalde means musicians]. Repertoire includes Klezmer, Balkan, Rom and Middle-Eastern music.
The orke aims to:
* develop members’ musical and performance skills
* generate positive awareness of different music cultures.
The Orke is currently recruiting performers. This 20+ piece Orkeztra requires particularly flute, violin, bass and trombone players.
If you’d like to be involved please apply now. All you need to join is your instrument, music stand, pencil and a folder to take home your parts. Rehearsals take place Wednesdays, Northcote.
