We are looking for an on set sound technician with previous experience of boom operating and mixing, for an 4-6 week shoot, mid July to end of August in and around the Cambridge area.

Summary:
Set in the near future, the financial crisis has escalated, the UK has become a satellite state of the US. Public service privatisation and increased mass unemployment figures have spurred years of strikes, riots, and widespread disruption. In response government restrictions on Internet and social media sites have been implemented, a private contractor the Internet Protection Agency (IPA) has been put in charge of policing the restricted Internet, arresting computer fugitives, and taking charge of advanced public surveillance.
The film’s narrative follows Anthony (23) who returned early from university to look after younger sister Sam (16) when their parents were arrested, six month previous.
Anthony and Sam’s parents were part of a political faction called ‘The Movement’, that was targeted by the IPA, arresting its key players before leaked files from its archives, outlining its brutal and morally corrupt methods were published to the general public, and the world.
When Anthony lands a job working in the record room at the IPA, he begins to discover the untold story behind his parents’ disappearance.

We are Spark In The Dark Projects; a group of Cambridge based professional filmmakers in the business since 2006, who have a successful track record in making high quality shorts, documentaries and dramas.

This is our first feature length film and our budget is extremely tight and unfortunately we cannot offer payment, but will cover all food, provide accommodation and meet travel costs (with in the U.K.) As well as shares in the film, upon its completion. You will be fully credited for your work and on IMDB. In addition to receiving a complimentary DVD copies of the finished film and an invitation to the first screening.

Shooting will take place in and around Cambridge on a six-week shoot from mid July until the end of August.
