Quick Synopsis:
Declan Green and his manipulative tapeworm have tasted every forbidden delicacy on earth, but when Declan falls for the young and curious Jennifer Feathers in the bowels of a decaying inner-city hotel, for the first time Declan must resist his tapeworm to stop himself from sampling the one dish they have yet to try - human flesh.

Declan Greene (30 years old)
Declan Greene is a haunted man, having travelled the world sampling the world's rarest and most sickening foods at the behest of his tapeworm, who speaks to Declan and controls his life. Declan must eat constantly, but remains gaunt and pale, a shell of a man. In Jennifer, he sees a glimmer of hope for a relationship outside of himself, that may allow him to truly feel something for the first time, rather than merely consume.

Jennifer Feathers (17 years old)
Jennifer is 17 but acts 25, a waif-like young woman trapped at the awkward end of puberty and trapped in permanent isolation running the Buchanan Hotel. She occupies her time butchering meat, and has become desensitised to the site of gore. She is lonesome, curious, and plucky - she talks back to adults twice her age and attempts to projects the image of an older, wiser, more womanly woman.
