Erik (short for Erika)

Eric, is the mother figure of this unconventional ‘family’ unit. Eric cares deeply for her adopted adult 'son' Smoking Ben, though their life style and compounded idiocy makes it difficult to keep him healthy. Eric enjoys arguing with Derek about anything and reading William Blake, her inner-most desire is to see a real-life Tyger Tyger.

Derek

Derek, is the father figure of this unconventional ‘family’ unit. He is of average build, hair and beard persistently scruffy, sooty cheeks -- a picture perfect box-car hobo. Derek is an Ideas man. Schemes and Strategies come from his mind, as do most of the jams the family gets into. He speaks at break-neck speed and never heeds his surroundings. The ‘real world’ has zero bearing on his approach to problem solving, a skill which he prides himself on.

Smoking Ben

Smoking Ben, is the child figure of this unconventional ‘family’ unit. He is of athletic build, tall, and has a Lion-esq appearance. True to his name, Smoking Ben literally never stops smoking. This is the cause of his rapid tooth-loss (which he holds an attitude of ambivalence toward) He is mute, being akin to the immortal Harpo Marx in gesticulation. He thoroughly enjoys being doted upon by his adopted ‘parents’, exaggerating his levels of dependency.

Donahue

Donahue, is a normal family man. A ‘Corporate-casual’ type. Living wee-off in an inner-city suburb with a happy young family he is forever frustrated by his impossibly dysfunctional and inconsiderate next-door neighbours. Their constant noise and scheming cause him no end of vexation, though he has been afforded few opportunities to vent.

Heavy

Heavy #1 and #2 - These stand-over-men are members of a martial-arts based gang. They hire-out their menacing skills and punching prowess to coerce the indebted into paying up. They’re both mean and muscular, have a solid working relationship – not unlike that of Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction.
