John Tyreece is the leader of a street gang and is the basest of them all but when Drew his best man has a fight with Amanda and she drinks herself silly then drowns. The group is all questioned by police about her death and they band together and pin the blame on John. John is convicted and does two years in an afgan youth boot camp and returns a changed a man but Drew has taken over and owns John's girl and rep. John now a youth worker tries to help his friends on the straight and narrow but they won't hear a word of it.
