Description
Martin Douglas has just had an extravagantly bad day. Following being kicked out of home, he has had to lug a massively heavy, impractical ‘Trunk’ around town. We catch him as he nears the end of his journey. His face shows to us that he is tired, stressed and angry. It is clear that the ‘Trunk’ is important to Martin, however its contents are somewhat unknown. We know that it is heavy and most likely quite large.
We see Flashbacks of a heated argument with a girl, of similar age. Hearing a males voice (narration) we assume it is Martin. It Clues us in on the arguments beginnings and why it has left Martin trekking through town with an overly large ‘Trunk’. The voice reveals to us that the girl was Martins fiancé and that Martin had been having an affair.
This however does not clarify nor tell us what the ‘Trunks’ contents are.
As we again meet Martin and his ‘Trunk’, a montage sequence lets us follow him through his parent’s front door, up the stairs and into his room where he can open and indulge in the ‘Trunk’ and its interesting innards.
We finally see inside the trunk and it is filled to the brim with Packaging foam. Martin’s hand digs deep into the little foam peanuts and pulls out a photo frame, from Martins point of view we look at the picture of him and a man, he was not just hiding an affair from his fiancé but his sexuality.
