“TORN: A SHOCK YOUmentary” is a supernatural thriller documenting a six month period in a fictional Devon Village which finds itself under attack from a mysterious beast. This is a story of a bunch of friends and siblings who band together to tackle a great danger. It’s a story of loss, anger, despair, alienation and helplessness, photographed/styled with a sense of impending doom with elements of natural humour included to make it a sober rather than depressing picture.
The movie’s content is shocking but not offensive, hence the movie’s ‘play on words’ subtitle. We've dubbed this our “Pocket Money Picture” and we're going to produce the entire movie for less money than the cost of a single camera set-up on an episode of HOLLYOAKS.
This will be used as our USP/marketing line when promoting the picture.
