Zak, 24, is the typical young adult. He attends university and is caring, friendly and outgoing. The film explores a character who believes he can change his future in a universe where things are unchangeable. The actor will need to be able to express the element of shock and the want to get out of this nightmare through facial expression and body language. The role also requires for the actor to be able to perform some really basic action scenes and smoking in some scenes will be involved.

Jimmy is the Head of the Council of the Grim Reapers. He acts as Zak's mentor in the film. Jimmy absolutely loves his job and can't see why Zak is not thrilled to be a Grim Reaper. Jimmy is over-enthusiastic, unpredictable and moody. He is patient and gives each person one chance but then is unforgiving after that. He does not like to repeat himself and remains professional at all times. The role requires for the actor to be able to perform some really basic action scenes.
