The project concerns a girl, who has just finished her University degree in Community Welfare and has scored a job with the Department for Home Detainee Management. April, full of a hope to create a positive influence within the offending community, is met with a stark contrast to what she thought this job would entail.
The senior officers are anything but politically correct, the staff are lazy, rude and unsavory characters.
April struggles to comprehend this work dynamic and fears she wont last the day, a sentiment shared by the other staff.
But as each episode progresses, April finds herself becoming accustom to the Government job.
This project has been written in 6 episodes (roughly 3-10min) in length. Each episode features a new character, as the office is structured as rotating officers.
The project is set as a crude farce that focuses more on the dysfunction of the office and the interesting relationships that are established with April.
Filming will be in late July-early August, pending casting.
That is the preface of the project and would required 2 people who know how to use a camera and have a moderate understanding of film language.
We will be filming on the Canon 5D and the 70D, DSLR cameras, and will also be using the zoom sound recorder. Knowledge of these devices would be preferable but they are quite simple to use
