Flash Theatre Productions is seeking a dedicated stage manager to assist us in putting on a production of RENT, a hard-hitting rock musical that takes place in New York's gritty alphabet city at the end of the millennium. The show follows a year in the lives of eight young bohemians as they struggle with homelessness, homosexuality, love, hate, AIDS, and death. Rehearsals start end of August in Reseda, California. Performance dates TBA, mid-late December in North Hollywood. Produced by Rowan Sutherland.
This show is being put on as a fundraiser for Keep A Child Alive, an AIDS Healthcare Foundation that battles childhood AIDS and HIV. There is no pay, however, this would be ideal for someone looking to build a resume or someone just looking to get involved with a show. We are in the process of casting incredible performers, have a fantastic director with a creative vision for the show, and an extremely experienced producer, all of whom are dedicated to making this production as amazing as possible. Please email a resume in response to this ad as well as a reel, video, or MP3 of your work and contact info. I look forward to reviewing your submission!
