A car sits stationary in Kansas City, 1980s. The driver waits for his partners in crime. No sign of anyone. They call the driver Dorothy, a man of few words and a specialist in driving getaway cars in robberies. But Dorothy is on the road to atonement. Something is
dirty about this this job. His driving skills may need some tuning, but basic instincts never die.
Is it possible to be betrayed if you never trusted them in the first place?
Brick Road is a stylised Short Film that follows a click of debt collectors that emulate characters from "The Wizard of Oz" with a gritty twist. For visual inspiration see: Drive (2011), Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy (2004-12) and Breaking Bad (TV Series).
Filming will be between the 5th and the 10th of September in various locations around Melbourne. This would be a great opportunity to start potential industry connections with Film makers and also to enhance showreels. We will have the opportunity to submit the film to film festivals in Australia and overseas.

Crow- The Debt collector
Scarecrow is young, lanky and enthusiastic. Although childish at heart, he is witty and charismatic. He brings light to the situation while remaining intimidating and rugged when reaping. Scarecrow is almost psychotic in nature. He is buddied up with Lion, while remaining weary of Tin man. He is almost disconnected from his job and actions. Actor needs to be energetic and juvenile. The Antagonist - Tin man wears an iron mask, deep voice, solid in appearance. Without heart, he is cold and intimidating . He is driven by power and greed. Tin Man is enigmatic, he leads the click of debt collectors. Although he is the pack leader, he is very much of a lone wolf. Actor must be agile, as well as be able to portray a strong antagonist. Lion very much portrays an actual lion in features, with the mask off. He is confident and wise, stands tall. He is very down to earth, to the point. He has been in the business the longest and understands the dangers that follow their line of work. His purpose in his film is a filler. He helps the story move along.
