An experienced SOUND RECORDIST is required for a 15 minute short film to be shot at a high school in Box Hill on the dates of: Fri 28, Sat 29 and Sun 30 of September. Then on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 of October. This is a NON PAID job. No-one on the film are being paid. Budget is all being spent on the production of this short. We are shooting with a RED EPIC and there is also a 3 song original soundtrack in production.
'Black and White Lines' is set in Melbourne and features a cast and crew of young local talent (and a couple of old familiar faces). Collectively the actors in this film has appeared in television programs Neighbours, Underbelly and Stingers.
Set in a tough boys school in the year of 1961, 'Black and White Lines' tells the story of an 18 year old named Michael Cox, who after spending a few months in Juvenile Detention for an unacceptable schoolyard incident, has been placed at a new Melbourne Technical High School for Boys.
But now, for disputing the judgement of teacher MR PIPER during a physics lesson, COX has been unfairly made to attend a Saturday morning school detention with an unruly bunch of youths who would rather play with knives and wreck school property than learn to read and write.
It’s exactly the sort of crowd COX needs to avoid, but as the morning detention progresses the other boys learn of a dark past that will result in devastating consequences.
Following on from the promotion of the short, a feature version of the film is planned to be produced in 2013 and sold worldwide.
