MALORY TORR – SINGER SONG WRITER
Malory Torr, born in Johannesburg 17 years ago – now living and creating in Wimbledon. Malory has just finished her GCSE’s at school and already has some impressive gigs & accomplishments. She has been writing her own songs & performing from age of 13, playing the local pub circuit & local music festivals, culminating in reaching the grand finals of a national music competition called ‘Live and Unsigned’ against 10 000 other entrants, where she played at the O2 arena in July 2011. Her songs have been played on John Kennedy’s XFM radio show (John also did a writeup on Malory in Dazed & Confused Magazine), as well as BBC London on Jo Good’s show & Radio Jackie in London. Malory has appeared at the Troubadour Club in London & was recently the headline act at The Half Moon in Putney.
Her music is ‘quirky and unusual’, indie folk with a twist of humour.
She also loves fashion & modeling, winning a place in a TV ad this year as a Rimmel London girl.
