I began playing the piano at the age of 6 and was working as a professional musician 10 years later. I studied piano and organ in Bristol, and then at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham. I've worked in all areas of the business over the years, performing, teaching etc and still love my industry with a passion - even though it's much different now than when I started! I just love music.

As a keyboard player Mark has played in many musicals and shows, both as Musical Director and second keys, and still provides clients with a top rate service. He also plays in bands when he gets the chance - recent performances include the Brampton Buskers at a private function in Ely. Cambs, which involved playing classical, jazz and rock music , all in one night!

As a backround pianist, Mark recently enjoyed four years as head pianist at the Sofitel St James Hotel in London, playing smooth jazz/blues piano in the hotel lobby. He also plays romantic style piano for afternoon tea in the English Tea Room at Browns Hotel in Mayfair, and in the Belvedere Restaurant in Holland Park, London. Closer to home Mark performs regularly at the Cambridge Belfry Hotel, Cambourne (listen to 'Misty' in the audio section for a good example of my backround music).

Mark plays for all occasions, including supper evenings, dinner/birthday parties/ lunches, and is the perfect choice for your occasion. Singer Dave King is also available to form ‘Take 2’ which is a high tech duo performing jazz/blues/ R&B and soft rock music, additional musicians can be added to form a bigger band. Any song or music is available by request, please ask.
Mark provides his own digital piano, or keyboard for no extra cost, but if preferred, is happy to play a piano at the venue. Mark will travel.
