Matt has been playing guitar since the age of 7 and has performed in bands and projects throughout his teens building a large amount of knowledge and experience on the guitar for both live and recording situations. He formed his own band at school playing rock covers and went on to graduate from the ACM in Guildford in 2004. Since then he has been touring with various bands including supporting Marillion @ The Forum, stepping in for Jamie Humphries with Public Symphony, recording and writing parts for artists such as JLS, Flo Rider, The Wanted, and in between Matt teaches guitar to private students and in schools.

Currently Matt is busy with his signed London band New Device, recording the 2nd album and preparing for tours, video shoots, photo shoots and press releases later in the year, in-between all that you will also find Matt gigging with his 80's rock covers band Top Guns, covering songs such as Van Halen's classic tune Jump, along with Beat It, Bohemian Rhapsody & Final Countdown to name a few. Matt uses a PRS custom 24 for his main guitar and a Fender Telecaster along with being endorsed by Blackstar amplification with New Device.
