As heard on BBC Radio 2's 'Steve Wright In The Afternoon' and 'The Organist Entertains.' I play piano, keys or organ, the latter being my first instrument and, being a bit more specialised, the one that earns most of my living for me. Weddings, Cocktail Music, Shows etc. I am a quick learner and can read or busk in most styles, plus I have a huge repertoire stored away in my memory of evergreens (Gershwin, Berlin etc) and songs from the shows. Gigs over the years have been as diverse as the Savoy Hotel and Odeon Leicester Square in London to Butlins Holiday Centres with just about everything inbetween! I love opportunitites to work with other musicians and singers and enjoy new challenges. I generally tour with modern Yamaha or Roland orchestral products, which recreate the sounds of whole bands, orchestras, organs and Hammond organs, and also have a touring Yamaha Digital Piano. Besides these, I also play Hammond, theatre and church instruments, and various pianos and keyboards

I have been a pro player since winning a national competition when I was 15! Over the years I have covered most styles but mostly have specialised in standards and show music.

Work these days is mostly solo concerts, gentle jazz gigs (on organ or piano) and orchestra pit work. I really enjoy accompanying good singers and instrumentalists, especially performing the classic song book.

I spent a time as 1st dep keys with the Los Palmas 6, a leading tribute band recreating the music of Madness, which took me throughout the UK, Ireland and Dubai, gigs I really enjoyed, partly because they were so refreshingly different to most of my work. Similarly, I am now playing theatre shows and private parties with another Tribute Band, The Fabulous Shadows (www.thefabulousshadows.co.uk), often teaming up with the UK's top Cliff Richard Tribute, Jimmy Jemain, to present evenings of Cliff and the Shadows, which is great.

I have played at the Odeon Leicester Square for HRH Prince Charles, featured as solo pianist in the fabulous Mantovani Orchestra and am regularly heard on BBC Radio 2. Foreign work takes me each year to Holland, Germany and Switzerland and I have even strayed as far from home as Australia!

I have worked accompanying and MDing for many acts I used to watch on TV when I was growing up, including Supersonic Syd Little; Ireland's Eurovision Winner, Dana; Comedian from Crackerjack and Radio 2 Don Maclean; Magical Superstar Paul Daniels; The UK's number one piano entertainer, Bobby Crush; and many, many more.

In the pit I have worked on countless summer seasons, pantomimes, variety shows and book shows, including most of the favourites - My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Annie, Chess, Singing In The Rain etc etc etc.

Whilst I keep fairly busy, there is always room for more and, with much of my work being solo, I especially enjoy opportunitites to work with others.

I am a good reader and busker.
