Mitchell is aged 15 and year 11 at Bayfield High School in Dunedin, New Zealand. He is in his 6th year of vocal training from Gladys Hope where he is trained in Musical Theatre and Classical Singing.?Mitchell recently placed 3rd in the prestigious New Zealand Association of Teachers of Singing Cleveland Encouragement Awards for solo singers. Theatre credits include Carmen, Monty Pythons Spamalot, My Fair Lady, “Billy” in Honk!, “Captain” in Oliver!, “Orin” in Little Shop Of Horrors, "Horton" in Seussical The Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Stage/Concert appearances include the 2005 Christmas In The Park (Dunedin), 2007 Mayoral Concert, Several Age Concern Concerts and many performances at The Thieves Alley Markets (Octagon Markets). Last year Mitchell was one of 16 selected out of 100 secondary school students to be in the OD Glee cast for The Otago Daily Times Big Night In at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.
