im 25 and been a rapper/producer/songwriter for 6 years and currently in a group called mTwo
mTwo known indivually as Magik and Mears have been a duo since janurary 2011.
they created there own style of 80's - 90's hip hop with a twist of humour showing off there personalitys through there music videos and lyrics.
mTwo's first debut video for the track 'Cruisin' made its way onto youtube recieving over 10,000 views plus reaching its download limit on soundcloud in the first day.
Since 'Crusin' mTwo released the first official track onto ITUNES called 'Enjoy The Show' making it into the TOP 100 on the rap/hiphop charts!
They released a music video for 'Enjoy The Show' and has hit over 11,000 views on youtube which gave them the place to peform as the headline act at the oxjam festival in tamworth were all money raised was donated to the charity 'Oxfam'.
The success of the 'Enjoy The Show' video gave the an oppurtunity to have the song played on BBC INTRODUCING and was played on BBC RADIO 1 plus having the chance to perform a live acoustic version of the track on BBC WM RADIO and an interview reaching over 90,000 listeners.
Since then mTwo have been working on new material in there home studios, college studios and privately owned studios with instrumentals from producers , plus there own 7 piece band at the same time as holding down a normal 9-5 job.
mTwo have been interviewed on TCR radio (Tamworth community radio) and had many bookings for live performances perfoming to people of all ages from local night clubs packed with 18-30 year olds to social clubs packed with OAP's.
The response from just those two tracks released has been nothing but positive and mTwo have been praised for having a unique style and creating videos which goes to show that they're entirely different to the majority of urban artists out there, substituting a stone faced and serious look at street crime and violence or egotistical boasting for a more funky loving life and a feel good vibe.
