Often called South Africa’s own Sarah Brightman, Nadine Blom’s Victorian style and opulent dress sense compliments her captivating voice. It is her vast vocal ability (which, as Brightman, reaches over 3 OCTAVES) that impresses the most though. As much as Nadine Blom has a strong appreciation and natural feel for light Classical music, she is also a versatile pop & jazz singer. She has performed Christine in Phantom of the Opera,acted as Sarah Brightman in "The Sarah Brightman Story",starred in Olivia Newton John Tributes,A Roxette Tribute, Eva Cassidy Tribute as well as Abba Tributes.
Her classical repertoire includes favourites such as “Habanera”, “O Mio Babino Caro”, “Nella Fantasia”, “Think of me”, “Phantom of the Opera”, “Conte partiro”.
As a qualified lawyer, Nadine Blom opted to follow a singing career and obtained professional opera and jazz training. She was one of the first Afrikaans artists in South Africa to release a Jazz album. On her first album she incorporated well-known jazz standards into her music, whilst giving it her own unique twist. Her music, together with her warm personality makes her an unequalled and highly sought after stage personality. In the jazz genre, she has worked with top musicians internationally as well as nationally.
Nadine Blom, crowned as Mrs United Nations South Africa 2006, is a passionate lady with a big heart for children and intens love for others. She also came second in the international Mrs United Nations Pageant held in L.A.
