No Leg Joe is a smorgasbord of sounds coming together in an effort to sooth broken hearts, inflame rebellion, challenge limits and force emotion. A unique act with strong and powerful writing, Crisp vocal harmonies, a diverse song selection and an ability to have something for everyone, With their outrages performance and interactive humor, not to mention the amazing visual value of Joe Hardy himself! Joe, (Silverback), the heart of the band was born with No Legs! But incredible drive and thirst for life drove him to be the best drummer he could be! He is one of the best indie drummers out there! The fact that he has no legs is amazing to the point of inspiration.
Randy Gibson, doing his solo act, met Joe at a club in Orange County.
Joe caught Randy's attention telling a story about his latest Youtube video. Joe designed a powered wheel chair with his drums on it to cruse around the NAMM Show. Randy checked it out when he got home. "Well not only did it turn out to really cool" said Randy, "but it also turned out that Joe lived right down the street. That’s where it all started, we started hanging out a little, Joe started hearing my music and told me he dug it. He said he wanted to play drums for my band and I said, hell yeah Joe, lets do it!"
"The band was called Randy Gibson's Thought Criminals when we started working things out, but No Leg Joe kept poppin in my head. I didn't want to hurt Joe's feelings but I said to him anyway, I think we should call the band No Leg Joe." Joe said, "That's a freakin great idea!" And so it began! The birth of No Leg Joe!
Well, they went through some players. "Auditions were fun! We had so many great guys come through our studio. We know allot of great players but we were looking for something. We needed youth, we needed naturals, we needed Taiki and Mike."
These two guys are not up and coming, they are here! They play they sing and they do it all like 20 year vets. "Naturals! That’s what we needed, naturals!"
Now, recording with Ronnie King of Sony Records and receiving an endorsement from Roland Electronics USA, No Leg Joe is taking things to the next level. Doing shows like the Orange County Fair, Desert Empire Spring Festival, Desert Empire Fair, Tri Arts Fest of San Pedro's Ports O Call, and doing a residency at the very plush and cool Marina Del Rey Warehouse Restaurant, they are hitting the scene hard!
Catch them at one of the upcoming shows you can find in the gig section. Bring your wallet cause they have some cool gear and they know your gonna want some.
Currently recording with Ronnie King of Sony Records and will be releasing in late June.
