Marathon charity fundraising shoot - animal welfare

Notice no. 2072  -  Brighton, United Kingdom

On 31 October I move out of my present studio and head for a new one. Over the last three days I want to shoot as many models as I can to raise money for the Mount Noddy animal rescue centre which is entirely funded by what it can sell, adoption fees and charitable donations. Don't worry if you can't make this shoot. I will be repeating the fund raising event at my new location soon.

Mount Noddy deals with the very tough cases of animal neglect - this is Maxie's story: Maxie was found locked in a garage when he was five months old, along with seven siblings and a dozen other dogs. They had never been let out (I won't go into graphic detail but you can work it out for yourself), and the only food they had was thrown to them through an open window. One of the puppies had to be put down immediately, and the vet who examined the dogs said they would be very difficult to rehome. The puppies actually had to be taught how to walk by the centre staff. The adults were rehomed relatively quickly, but it took a year before the Maxie was the last to find a new home. Sadly it didn't work out and three months later he was returned to Mount Noddy. Six weeks ago my wife and I met Maxie, a frightened, shaking, cowering dog who just needed a lot of love. We decided to take on the challenege. And how is he doing? We'll after just over five weeks he takes treats from our hands, goes for three walks a day, plays with our other dog called Doggie, (yes really, that is his name), and watches his new freind intently at his dog training class. Maxie is going to have a long and happy life with us - guaranteed.

So here's what I want to do. On the afternoons ofFriday 29, plus all day Saturday 30 October and Sunday 31 October, I want to try to shoot as many models and dancers as I can. I will shoot headshots, fashion, dance, fitness, swimwear, lingerie, topless, glamour, artistic nude - in fact anything legal - nudity is not a requirement, but I am happy to shoot nudes (over 18s). I must stress I am not doing family portraits. Please tell me what you want me to shoot. Under 18s are limited to headshots, dance, fashion, swimwear and fitness and must be accompanied by ONE adult (there won't be room for more). Over 18s are welcome to bring ONE chaperone (same reason).

Tell me when you are available please. If you apply and get a slot (I may have to start turning down people if I am inundated with applicants) I must ask you to let me have your email address so I can send you a release form and directions. Please fill in the release form BEFORE you come and please stick to your time slot (try to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early - there are limited changing facilities). You will have to come by car. Public transport is poor at the present location; (much better at the new one).

I will I ask you to bring a cheque (NOT CASH) payable to Mount Noddy for at least £10 (higher if you want to) and if you want to be sponsored by a UK business (who will be credited on my website with a hyperlink to their website - sorry no gambling, mail order drugs or adult services) then I will want a £25 or higher amount cheque from that business as well, plus their details typed clearly on a piece of paper. I would also like to ask for four volunteers to assist me, one each on Thursday and Friday afternoon, and two for Saturday (tea, coffee, directions to the loo, etc), and any make-up artiste who wants to get involved please let me know too.

OK - that's it. Thank you Barney
