Coming from a large family, you can imagine the ups and downs I was subjected to in my daily life. To me that makes for strong grounding to help go through life's experiences. After leaving school at 16, I arrived in the building trade to train as a plasterer where I remained until 1992. After getting a taste of stage and television in Jersey, I found acting was for me as I think I can bring my life experiences to the fore and produce good honest acting to a high standard. When working on projects, I give my all and take good direction and am a strong team player. In the future I would like to see myself directing my own projects and put my own writing to the test.

Since I was little I took part in most school plays and theatre work. When I moved to Jersey in 1983 I found myself treading the boards in various talent shows and productions. My favourite play was Playboys where nudity was required as my role of a salesman.

Older and wiser now, I am married and have two teenage sons. I am a self employed plasterer and in 1992 went to drama school for 1 year. I wanted to study for a BA at the then RSAMD, but commitment to my young family was my main focus, so I decided to go back to my trade as a plasterer and return to the building sites, which provides many experiences for writing and character research.

I particularly enjoy the work of Ray Winston and James Nesbitt and love comedy and have excellent comic timing. However, I would also love the chance to play a more sinister character, such as a role I undertook in a short film in1994 of a father who mentally and physically abuses his son and wife.

I write comedy sketches and have recently been working on A Silly Wee Films production, Night is Day: The Movie playing DCI Sloan and will also be playing this character in Night is Day series 2.

I continue my work on The Crews for Foghorn Films as gangster Dougie Fallon, the right hand man of Mick Turner played by Jim Sweeney. I recently played David Hayman's body double in this series and then took over from him when he was killed off.

In 2011, I was lead in Two and a Half Minutes playing alongside Kolin McCreadie for Silly Wee Films. In February 2012, I landed the part of Jimmy, a maniac who runs a gym in A Spanking in Paradise, which received international film distribution through Icon Film Company. A Spanking in Paradise also won Best of the Fest in Edinburgh, so things are indeed looking up.

I am working alongside some very experienced actors whom I'm learning a lot of technique from and basically having fun while doing so. I recently started a project called Limbo written by The Crews' Colin Ferguson. I play a character called Liddell who loses his memory, but am unable to go into detail with this project just yet.

I have 4 IMDB Credits to date.

TV & Reality

Studying the character of Rab C Nesbitt for just 4 hours, I mimicked Rab C Nesbitt for Children in Need in 1992 and had fun with The Gong Show for charity.
