The ‘Stirling Academy’ is an advanced drama school that is accredited by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. It entails modules that are the essential foundations for acting students such as camera work, belief, senses, mime, emotions, intimacy, roll play, characterisation, script interpretation, memory, trust, movement, physical theatre, comedy, hot seating and of course monologues. The initial training from the ‘Stirling Academy’ prepares students to be audition ready and to sit their LAMDA examinations.

I have a sense of musicality having endeavoured to undertake a music qualification on completion of my degree course; this entailed singing numerous songs with a live band in front of an audience, musical technique such as theory and piano lessons, the entire course was assessment based.

I'm currently singing with a band and gaining experience singing to different audiences and gaining studio recording techniques.

I’ve have had extensive dance experience having studied dance performance for two years during my BTEC National Diploma in performing arts, further three years during by BA degree in Creative and Dramatic arts where I studied choreography, dance performance, fusion choreography, dance and cultural identity and physical theatre. I’ve had experience with fusing multi disciplinary art disciplines during my choreographing whereby I had studied fusion choreography. I’m proficient with the Cunningham technique and I’m also confident with other practitioners such as Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, Pina Bausch as well as cultural disciplines such as Butoh and kpanlogo. My forte lies within contemporary dance and I’m also proficient with fouette turns as I’m trained in ballet.

I was employed to work for Camp America in New York City at Camp Regis Applejack for four months, whereby I had to organise dance and theatrical lessons and performances around large groups of people ranging across many different ages. I choreographed two musicals Little, Shop of Horrors and Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. It was my responsibility to organise the events for both the drama and dance departments as well as assisting the art department when art projects were undertaken. This taught me to cope with stressful situations with ease and provided me with confidence and excellent communication skills due to working with a multitude of different kinds of people.

I’m also heavily involved with a circus/physical theatre company called ‘Black and Blue’ which is a multi disciplinary physical arts company, exploring the correlation between dance, physical theatre, circus skills, artistic expression and performance narrative. This consists of aerial acrobatics such as the manipulation of the aerial silks, hoop and trapeze as well as choreographing the routines for audiences, playing with the performance narrative and exploring the creativity of these new aesthetics, that are created when various choreographic nuances give way to playful expressive motifs. My speciality is the aerial silks.
