Starting out as a young singer in various choirs and talent shows Quinn realized her voice was a gift when she went to support a friend at an audition where she was prompted to audition also and later landed the much coveted role as the lead vocalist within the group. After several months, the group disbanded, but Quinn continued to sing and hone her craft.
In 2005, Quinn began rapping as a means of exploration and venting her frustrations. Hip Hop allowed Quinn to push the envelope in a different light and talk about the things she couldn’t express through singing, thus adding to her creativity. Quinn Maeback’s sound is inspired from various types of music - R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop. Her influences stem from music icons Chaka Chan, Jay Z, Foxxy Brown, Outkast, Missy, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Mary J, Faith, R. Kelly and Michael Jackson.
Quinn Maeback connected with super producer 2 Rude through R&B superstar Glen Lewis in 2005. He introduced the two and from then there relationship was established. 2 Rude produced Quinns first smash hit “Swagger Of A RockStar” in 2007, which was on heavy rotation on Flow 93.5, and reached 4 on the charts in the Mega City Countdown. “Swagger of a Rockstar” has gained so much attention that it’s had over 1 million plays on Mypace and over 500, 000 views. “Swagger of a RockStar” has been played internationally French kisses from Paris, love from Berlin and Greece and requests from all over the U.S. for 'callobos' and shows.
Quinn Maebacks current single “ Shot Gun” Feat Kaleb Simmonds (Canadian Idol 2004 7th runner up) produced by 2 Rude is currently being played on all major stations in Canada and on heavy rotation in the U.S and internationally. Quinn has performed in shows across Canada, the U.S and notably opening up for 50 Cent and G-Unit. Quinn is also working along side Chuck&Joe (CampSoul Music), Trackdilla, Majic City Records, Demarco “the Great” and Ryan Graham.

Quinn always knew she had talent but was not sure exactly where it would take her. Growing up in downtown Toronto, people were always commenting on her skills and acknowledging that Quinn should “be with the stars”. In school she performed in the choir and participated in many talent shows that deemed her as someone to watch. Music always being an essential part of life, Quinn’s high school years led to some time with a local pop group, but she was destined for greater success that allowed her ‘to get her true shine on’.
Crediting her motivation from influences such as Chaka Chan, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Mary J, Faith, R. Kelly and Michael Jackson; Quinn's style is as unique as her name. Passionate about fashion, style, dancing and being original - Quinn incorporates her flare for living and diverse influences in her original sound. Already being compared to the likes of Mary J and Lil’ Kim, Quinn's talent coupled with 2 Rude's unique production and artist development ability is guaranteed to garner international success!
