Music experience

Since 1991 I've participated countless local bands and projects in the regions of jazz, contemporary jazz and Brazilian influenced jazz-which are most of my instrumental section, and so-in local vocal/songwriting bands and projects range between 60's pop,r&b,blues,rock-blues,a bit harder rock, contemporary local folk-pop,local ethnic music and kind of lounge, and again Brazilian influenced material with various other slight influences, mainly with Brazilian born singer/songwriter Elisete-who lives here.
In most of the cases I've played guitars, but also have been responsible for most(if not all) of the tonal(and most of rythmic)choices, the arrangments(instrumental and vocal)-And music production;(means directing live performance Or planing, directing and co-mixing recordings.)
I truely believe-there must be sensitivity and attention while arranging and/or producing Any music piece,in order to get Each one with its unique nature and timber, and in the right strength.
I also do these jobs in music education-with teen students for nearly 15 years(-They change of course..) Beyond all that-and as a result-I play also bass a lot in the recent years.(also I play oud). - In 2007 Elisete(that is mentioned earlier) and I-recorded vocals(she sang lyrics she wrote in portugese)and guitars and base(me arranged and played)-for 10 diverse tunes composed by a musician/pianist from L.A. who applied to us thru the net;(we still have ahead the project's ending - with him).
I have to say I'm Aware of the difference between arranging and producing for music, and in case anybody'd like to have the 2 functions seperated from each other-I believe I could fill-Each of them-individually. For very basic check out you can visit me at www.myspace.com/ronlaor (homemade tracks of my own)-and you'll find there also access to Elisete's page. Further on I'll post a variety of samples from other projects. Thanks,Ron
