Stan Cook

55 from Texas, United States
Model, Actor
From the age of 15 I wanted to be an actor. I was in my 20's when I began my acting career with a well known Studio in Hollywood California, where I received personal training directly from some of the best in the industry. From that beginning to date, acting has been my passion. I will never let anything stop me from doing what I love to do. For most of my life, I have been guessed to be 10 to 15 years younger than my actual age. That gives me the advantage of being cast for a role of a 42 year old man, or I can play a role of a 99 year old man, and work either role very well. My acting history includes stage, print, commercials, industrials, made-for-TV movies, film, event hosting, and stage directing. I am a member in good standing of the Hollywood Screen Actors Guild. I will travel anywhere in the U.S. to accept a role.

    "Excellent stage and camera presence", according to local news reviews. I have done stage, and stage directing. I have worked in many films, commercials, print ads, industrials, TV films, and TV series.
    I am a singer and a musician. I play more than 15 instruments, including the Hammond Organ.
    Many times, when I was cast as an extra, I was directed toward, or moved closer to the camera.
    In every production I have worked, I have been focused on, whether a speaking or nonspeaking part.
    Major film directors including Lee Grant, Clint Eastwood, and the late Bill Bixby, have told me that I have a "very, very good camera presence". I also received a personal compliment from Willie Nelson on how easy it was to work with me.
    To quote the late Buster Keaton; "Stan looks, and acts very natural on camera." He has a way of showing that the camera is not even there".
    To quote Maxine Anderson, of "Maxine Anderson's Commercial Way", in Hollywood California, at one of her television commercial training class;
    "Stan Cook shows how easy it is to do what we teach here at the studio, that is to stop acting, and be yourself".
    By request of a Television Studio owner and producer in Austin Texas, I've had the good fortune of playing the starring role in many episodes of a television series that aired in the southern states for many years.
    I work very well with other actors, lead, supporting, or otherwise.

    My availability for roles is not limited to Texas. I will travel anywhere.
