Covo is a rising star of the British film and music industry, a Colin Farrell meets David Thewlis with the cheek and charm of Danny Dyer. He grew up in north London's Spa Fields and broke into the underground hip hop and grime scene as an MC with the Spa Cru, opening for Two Lone Swordsmen, Radioactive Man, Soul II Soul, Gemma Fox and Skinnyman between 2002-2006 . He then recorded four albums with London Urban Collective between 2004-2008 and most recently won critical acclaim in the lead role as Virgil in London Urban Collective's feature-length Hipopera "Inferno" - a modern-day musical take on Dante's epic journey through hell. As Virgil, Covo wrote all of his own lines as original lyrics, recorded and performed the part live at Stratford Circus before shooting the feature film with director J. Harry Leckstein and cinematographer Marco Granese. "purgatory" is Covo's first theatre role since "Inferno" and an excellent chance to catch this electric actor up close and personal before he takes on the bigger roles that lie ahead.
