I can't think of anything more rewarding than acting. The challenges it brings to the performers, the joy it brings to both performers and audiences alike, the fact that I could possibly be an award winning surgeon one week and a pirate the next! It's all good. It's also brilliant at a party when you get the, "So, what do you do?" question. People are always fascinated by actors. A computer programmer or a company CEO may make more money, but who cares?! They're boring! The life of an actor is never boring. It can be exciting, scary, unpredictable and sometimes even a little depressing, but never boring! The fact that a grown man (or woman) plays pretend for a living is actually a little weird, and therefore fascinating. I love all aspects of theatre and absolutely adore physical comedy. I'm also a lover of film and enjoy characters that challenge me as an actor.
