| About me: | | After over fifteen years of theatrical involvement mainly behind the scenes, I took to the stage five years ago after falling in love with the art of twirling fire. I’d been warned as a child about playing with matches, so initially set fire to both ends of a broomstick instead…(Kids don’t try this at home…or if you do, um, give it to someone else to hold / blame...)
Since that momentous occasion, and the fiery obsession that sprouted from it, I have performed fire and dance as a soloist and with several groups including Cirque Mystique and Fireworks Dance, at various corporate functions, festivals, and social events around Australia.
Presently my focus is on combining elements of various performance styles, such as fire arts, dance (African, salsa, samba and funk)burlesque, cabaret' magic and physical theater.
I also continue to work on my business of nine years as a costume designer and creator. |

Dancing experience
Trained in African dance for the past five years, and performed as a soloist and in a troupe at various shows including with Wassawumba at the corner hotel in Richmond, with Wongai at CERES, Tempfest and Victoria Markets, and as a soloist at Traffic in Federation Square and Melt in Greensborough. Also performed with Underbelly student groups at CERES in Bellydance and Afro Funk / Dancehall.
My style of fire performance incorporates many dance styles including African, bellydance, jazz, salsa, contemporary and bollywood.
Fire performance - 2.5 years performing professionally, 6 years in training.
Production - 2.5 years producing, choreographing and managing fire and dance shows.
I have performed as a soloist and with several other troupes at various corporate events, festivals, weddings and parties in Victoria and interstate. Some of my performance highlights include;
