| About me: | | Hey i'm Vanessa James i'm 19 and live in Leicester. Although i am based in the midlands i can drive and have a car so can get around. I am a very passionate performer and love to sing and dance. I am very versitile person but i am always pushing myself harder to improve and learn more skills. I like to work in a team or as an individual. I have recorded a demo cd and hope to get into a recording studio later this year and lay a few more tracks down. |

Acting experience
University promo tape for schools and colleges, interviewed on the pros and cons of going to university in 2007.
Full day workshop with Casting for TV, Commercials and film working on background work and also speaking parts.
I played the part of Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz' at Melton Theatre.
I have performed in many pantomines over the years including, Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella.
I played the role of Tessie in 'Annie' at Melton Theatre.
One of Fagins Gang in 'Oliver' in the Main Team meaning we got to perform on opening and closing night and all press nights which was performed at Leicester Haymarket Theatre.

Dancing experience
I have been dancing since the age of 4, having trained at Itialia Conti it meant i was able to try all forms of dance. i especially loved to Street jazz, tap modern and ballet and had to be held back as i was to young to take exams that i was ready for. i have reached the point in all of these where i am ready to take my associates exams and hopfully will complete these soon!
As i got older i travelled to New York more often and have taken many master classes over there with top choreographers.

Entertaining experience
Premiere Entertainment, 3 month contract in Cyprus as a singer/dancer and daytime entertainer. Not only performing in carbarets but also doing many games and kids club during daytime and all evening entertainment including kids disco, bingo, go fetch, quiz and general PRing with guests.
